Derrick Cup Team Event – September 13, 14, 2014
Come play at the Derrick Club’s new outstanding 5 court facility. The tournament emphasis is on great games, fun & a social atmosphere.
The Derrick Cup Team Event works similar to the event that Vining Wolff runs at Strathmore, except Derrick Cup Teams are smaller (4-6) & play fewer matches per tie (3 matches: one singles, two doubles). Since there are no rules on gender composition of your team you could have a Womens doubles team playing a Mens doubles team – BUT the womens doubles starts with 8 points & gets first serve. Or if Womens singles plays a mens singles the womens singles starts at 7 points & gets first serve. Entry fee is $50/player – includes souvenir Yonex T-shirt & Saturday dinner.
