Frequently Asked Questions
What are the chances of a new member draw this year?
It is difficult to project renewals, but IBC typically has a fair number of free spots available each year. We usually hold a new member draw every year and accept new members first come, first served thereafter until we reach our membership cap.
Is there a Waiting List for prospective new members?
No, there is no waiting list. If you would like to join, please attend the draw (if applicable this year).
I would like to drop-in play at IBC prior to the draw. Is this possible?
Please refer to our drop-in page to check the status of our drop-in availability. If you would like to pop by to observe the level of play, please email us.
If there is a draw, when will the draw take place?
Each year, returning IBC members have approximately 2 weeks from the first date of play to renew their membership for the season. After the 2 weeks, if the membership cap is not yet reached, IBC will hold a draw for those who wish to join IBC. New membership(s) will be granted to those whose names are drawn, until our membership cap is reached. Please check this web page as it will be updated immediately after the renewal deadline for returning members. In past years, the new member draw has occurred around the last week of September.
I cannot make it to the draw on the proposed draw date. Can you put my name in for me?
You will need to attend the draw in person. If you cannot make it you can send someone to proxy for you. If your name is drawn, your proxy will need to provide payment on your behalf and your contact information (phone and email). You will be required to complete waiver forms prior to playing.
How does the draw work?
Please see our New Member Draw rules. Please note that we only “draw” names if the number of prospective new members is greater than the number of spots available.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
An individual membership is available to a person 16 years of age or older by September 30 of the membership renewal year.
