The 2017-2018 IBC season will begin on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Returning members have until the end of play on September 20, 2017 to renew their membership.

Fees

Membership fees will remain the same as last year. For more information, please see https://ibcbadminton.com/club-information/membership/.

Waiver

Please complete and submit the 2017-2018 waiver with you when registering. The waiver can be downloaded at https://ibcbadminton.com/wp-content/uploads/Waiver_IBC_2017-18.pdf. Please note that digital signatures will no longer accepted.

If you cannot make it to register

You may appoint a proxy to register for you. FULL payment must be received by end of play on September 20. A shoe tag will be given to you when you PERSONALLY hand in a completed waiver. All players MUST have a shoe tag in order to play.

Adding immediate family members to an existing membership

If you wish to add an immediate family member to your membership, let us know when registering. Your request will be added to a “waiting list” for membership. Accepted add-on members (if any) will be announced after Sept 20, subject to the maximum capacity for IBC, which is 100 members. Add-on membership fees and/or waiver amendments will be due by 8pm on Sept 25, 2017.

Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering as an IBC executive (member-at-large) or at the EDBA, we would love to hear from you. Both IBC and the EDBA are driven 100% by volunteers.

We hope to see you all at IBC. Welcome to the new season.

IBC operates 100% on the efforts of volunteers who love badminton and care about IBC. We are always looking for new volunteers.

The EDBA is pleased to offer summer badminton drop-in at the Saville Community Sports Centre for 2017 as follows:

Location: Saville Community Sports Centre (11610 65 Ave NW, Edmonton)
Dates: Sunday July 16, 23, 30; August 6, 13, 20, 27, 2017.
Time: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per person per drop-in

EDBA will provide shuttles and drop-ins are open to the public. Both juniors and adults are welcomed. Please wear non-marking indoor court shoes. If you require additional information, please email info@edba.org.

Please note that a limited number of courts have been added to the 2017 EDBA 55+ Free Play Program at W.P. Wagner High School:

Saturday 2 to 4 p.m.: May 27
Sunday Noon to 2 p.m.: May 28.

A reminder that the EDBA 55+ Free Play program is open to the public for players 55 and older and not restricted to EDBA Clubs members. If you have any questions, please let John Lee or I know. Thanks to John for continuing to run the 55+ Free Play sessions.

Dear EDBA Representative Committee and Board Members:

EDBA is accepting requests from Corporate Challenge badminton teams for practice times at W.P. Wagner High School (6310 Wagner Road, Edmonton). Available practice sessions dates and times are as follows:
Sunday noon to 2 p.m.: May 14, 21, 28;
Saturday 2 to 4 p.m.: May 13, 20, 27.

Fee is now $5 per player per practice session. Receipts will be issued. EDBA will have NCCP qualified coaches at all practice sessions to provide coaching at no charge to team members on request. Teams are to bring their own shuttles and all players must wear non-marking indoor court shoes.

Teams wishing to reserve practice court time for any of the above times should submit a request to info@edba.org. Please indicate the number of players on the team attending each session. Space is limited so please submit your requests early.
