2025-2026 IBC Badminton Ladder

IBC is proud to announce that it will be hosting a Badminton Ladder this season!

We are hoping the Badminton Ladder helps our club members scratch their competitive itch while also providing another opportunity to make being a member of IBC enjoyable.

What is a Ladder?

Think of it as an ongoing, friendly competition where players are ranked. When you win a match, you climb the ladder, when you lose you either stay in the same spot or go down the ladder. It’s a fun, clear way to see how your skill level compares to other players.

Purpose

The idea is to provide an opportunity for club members to bring out their more competitive side. This means that during designated times, the results of your games are tracked so that you can see how you rank compared to other members of the club. The amount of administration to facilitate this through paper or Excel spreadsheets is tremendous for a recreational badminton club, so one of our club members has created a web app to facilitate IBC’s Ladder.

The system uses the web app Ladderly.online to manage everything.

1. How to Join and Prepare

  • Visit the App: Go to ladderly.online (mobile is recommended).
  • Create an Account: Set up your user account.
  • Find IBC: Search for and join the “IBC” club.

2. Attending a Ranked Meetup

  • Check the Schedule: View the Upcoming Meetups within the app to see when the next “ranked meetup” is happening.
  • Check in to Play: You MUST “check in” for the event BEFORE the meetup starts to be able to participate. Check in opens 40 minutes before the meetup start time. If you don’t check in, you can’t play in the ranked matches!
  • Check the Schedule: Shortly after the meetup begins, a match schedule will be generated, showing you who you’ll be playing with and against.

3. During and After the Meetup

  • Submit Results: After each match you play, you are responsible for submitting the results through the app.
  • Check the Leaderboard: Once the final group submits their results, the Leaderboard will be updated. This will show how you compare to all other participating club members.

First Ranked Meetup

The first opportunity to officially get ranked is coming up soon! If you can’t make it to this meetup, don’t worry, there will be other ranked meetups!
